At SonRise, we believe in teaching children the importance of world missions. We do this through BGMC- Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge.
Children (and adults) are encouraged to save their coins for monthly offerings. These offerings are sent directly to missionaries all over the world, with the specific goal of reaching children with the gospel of Jesus. BGMC offerings are designated to many different projects, events, and ongoing discipleship of children in many different countries. BGMC also provides for the basic needs of children, such as medical care, food and clothing. Can you imagine being able to give 200 children a hot meal for only $20? Coins can go a long way to help needy children!
Our goal for 2009 was $2400.00. Our final offerings totaled $2548.00!
For 2010, our BGMC goal is again $2400.00, along with an extra challenge: to support 100 children in the city of Pontiac, Michigan through "Power Company Kid's Club" Project Christmas Joy
Check out the BGMC website for more information on children's missions.
What is BGMC
BGMC is the missions education emphasis for children in the Assemblies of God. It provides resources to help teach kids about missions. It supports our missionaries in their fields of ministry in America and around the world.

Looking for information about our many Assemblies of God Missionaries?
The following links will take you to our online directories where you can look up missionaries and get contact information and even photographs!
Note: Due to the sensitivity of some countries where our missionaries are positioned, it would be dangerous for us to post information about their identities and locations. For this reason, not every Assemblies of God missionary is listed on the online directories.
